Maybe, we can get healthy!!!

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, well as many people know we have been sick often this winter....well actually pretty much continuously. I think that since Xander was born 5 months ago, one or more if us has had something going on.

We would like to tell Mother Nature that we welcome her......

I know I am not alone with my desire to open up the windows, and doors, and let some spring in:)

We are so ready for playing outside, and I have a bunch of couples that really want it to get nice so that they can take their engagement pictures!!!

I am going to have to take some pics of the boys this weekend and hopefully some outside next week!!! In the mean time, here are some not as recent one...

By the way, LEGOS were one of the best things that were ever created!!! Coleton and Daddy love building towers, he wants one that touches the ceiling, but we don't have enough yet. .......And Uncle Scott, Did you teach him this goofy smile??? I am sure that smile looks just like your funny one in that picture!!!

......911

A squad was at our house this Morning at a little after 6 this morning.........It was a normal morning; we took Nick to work, and had gotten home and I was going to change both boys diapers. I had put Xander on our bed and Coleton always climbs up the end of the bed to lay beside Xander. We have done this hundreds of times. He climbed up the end and just fell off the side. I was fully involved in changing Xander, and saw him falling, but it happened so quick and I couldn't get him before he fell. He landed funny on his head...It was loud when he hit the floor...he screamed, then nothing.... I picked him up and he kinda had his head cocked to the left and he had a glazed over look. It WAS the SCARIEST moment of my life. He wouldn't talk or respond. NOTHING, but his eyes were open. I talked to him and tried to get him to do something...So I ran into the kitchen and grabbed the phone and called 911. By the time I got off the phone with the 911 operator, he started talking to me a little, And moving a little. Then he just kept saying I bumped my noggin, I bumped my noggin.

When the squad got here he was just laying on our bed on his side. I was afraid to move him or let him move in case he had really hurt his neck. I told him to sit still until the "Doctor" came to check on him.

So they were checking him out, and by the time they were finished, Coleton's new best friend Jennica(EMT), the "Doctor" was getting hug after hug from Coleton who was smiling and flirting and back to himself. He had his arms around her neck, hands in her hair We decided that he was fine although she offered to transport him to the hospital, which I kindly declined since he was acting fine. Then she said about three times, "how about I just transport him back to the firehouse with me so he can amuse us"...and then she said, bring him by and your camera today, I work till 6pm. He can come play on the firetruck, it will be fun! So, since they left all I have heard is "Mommy, Can I get dressed and go see the fire trucks?" "Mommy, Hey, Mommy, can we PLEAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE go see the firetrucks" So, I guess we will be seeing firetrucks this afternoon between Doctor appointments.

I think I was involved in a 911 call as a child when me and Erin were playing with the phone one time. After I thought about it,until today, I have never called 911 for help.

So, add this to the fact that I have been feeling very sick, sore throat, achy, and had a Migraine the past two days. Thank you Nick for taking over when I went to bed on Wednesday at 6:00... My headache is feeling much better this morning, but I still need to make sure that I don't have strep throat.

Add to this that..........Wednesday night Xander's eye started seeping but wasn't red. I called the doctors office, and they said see how it is tomorrow. Well this morning it was sealed shut, and it made him very cranky. So, I need to see the Doctor, Xander needs to see the Doctor, and Coleton fell off the bed....Great Day....:(

I am incredibly thankful that Coleton seems to be fine...........and so glad that kids are resilient.

Blizzard...............

Well ,it looks like we will be able to go sledding again when this calms down. Dad and Syd...hows Tuesday looking for you;) We have some drifts that are better than 3 feet deep now, and this will definately be loads of fun. If we plopped Coleton into that, he would just dissappear.

So, here are a few more from last week...

....Grandma Barnhart with Xane...

And, some of Papa Boo with the boys,(for those of you that don't know, papa boo got the boo from hiding Coleton under his big hat or pulling his hat over his eyes and playing peekaboo with him; Coleton called him Papa Boo and it stuck)

Hopefully there will be some more posts today... Maybe some of Xander from birth till now and same with Coleton...well see how it goes...lol

Hey mommy, Look at me!!!!..................

I was coming in and out of the house on Monday when it was almost sixty degrees, and in order to keep an eye on him, I always tell Coleton to watch me from the door. It is a game I play that keeps him from knocking Xander onto the floor or poking him. He likes to watch out the front door and see what I am doing.
I looked over to see his lips pressed against the glass on the storm door, and I laughed out loud. I just happend to have my camera in hand....I love it when that happens! I shot a few pictures before going up and joining in. It is fun to do those silly things. Why don't we as adults think of these things. lol. We are so boring when we grow up.
We went on a quick walk and nearly blew away, and I figured I had better snap one of Xander too!

It never seemed scary.....

...when I was a kid.

But suddenly...as a mom.... the whole idea of your 2 year old sitting on a piece of plastic and holding onto a string while flying down a snowy hill with a line of trees at the bottom,...well it seems so unsafe.

I never thought that way until I stood at the top of the hill and looked down and Coleton was about to take his first sled ride. Silly I know, BUT It was hard to watch. That must be why I don't remember mom ever going to do any winter activity with us.
Last week, Coleton, Grandpa, Aunt Sydnie and I all went for a quick sledding trip at George Rogers. Syd took on the hill in a sled and then on a snow board. Ummmmm, the snowboard thing looked fun, but maybe some other day when I have a smaller hill to work with and don't have a toddler and little baby to take care of. I just imagined breaking my leg and trying to take care of the boys...Now that would be a funny sight:) Syd has it down, she is really good at that snowboarding, and brave too.

Coleton's first ever downhill trip was with Aunt Sydnie. He was thrilled, and wanted to keep going and going. We went around 6:00, and it was a short trip, but just right for Coleton. The snow hung on just long enough for us to get a little sledding in before it melted the rest of the way last weekend.
Dad used the saucer a few times, snow boarded (sort of, he bailed off half way), and sled next to Coleton too...and I closed my eyes.

I took a few trips down with Coleton, and he even walked all the way up the hill on his last trip pulling the sled all the way.
